A) Landlords perform illegal actions such as removing Tenants using the loop hole of "a family member is moving in" legally it's used by Landlords alot to evict Tenants so that way they can double the rent for the new Tenants and at the end of the day "family member never moves in". It's a trick that Landlords use often on Tenants who have been living in the dwelling for years.
B) Landlords perform illegal actions by increasing the rent by double as soon the tenant leaves at the end of there lease term at that point landlord increases the price from $600 to $1200 illegally. How this is done behind the scene is that the Landlord pretends to hire workers to perform major repairs in there building but in actual fact there is no work done a 3rd party contractor will write up a huge receipt so Landlord pays contractor x-amount behind the scene which is an illegal transaction and with this receipt notifies the rental board of tens of thousand of dollars put into there building. As you can there are loads of illegal activity performed just in case new Tenant asks what previous tenants were paying and therefor landlord will lie and explain that major repairs were done blah blah and the rent has been increased for those reasons although repairs were never done initially but new tenants are now being ripped off hundreds of dollars per month.
Here in Quebec most Landlords are robbing tenants illegally. We need an under cover whistleblower who can video record these illegal actions and show the People and Media what is really going on behind the scenes in Quebec.
